Director of Business Development

Terry Shapiro brings more than 35 years of experience in mental health and addiction treatment. A Certified Addictions Counselor, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Winona State University and a master’s in Human Services Counseling from National Louis University.

Terry began his career as an alcohol and drug counselor and went on to hold leadership positions with Amtrak, the Council for Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services, and the Hazelden Foundation. He has presented at national conferences, conducted interventions, and developed addiction prevention programs while working in Bogotá, Colombia. Outside of his professional work, Terry is a lifelong baseball enthusiast who once ran a baseball academy and scouted for the Atlanta Braves and Chicago Cubs. He now enjoys time with his wife, three children, and two boxers, Luna and Maya.
